The Team

Verlingue have established broking team in Manchester, currently replicating this in Surrey working with 3 experienced Brokers.  The role will be based in one of offices working within the broking team consisting of 6 in addition to close connections with our London Market Brokers.

The Role

Verlingue is fast paced with strong growth plans.  This exciting opportunity will allow you to work closely within the team delivering an excellent service to our Clients, Colleagues and Carriers ensuring that the needs of the role and responsibilities are met.                                     

Role objectives include:

General Responsibilities

  • Developing market / product knowledge and sharing within the Group.
  • Ownership of sharing changes in products and insurers appetite within the Group.
  • Supporting brokers with creating broking presentations within Acturis.
  • Insurer response and analysis management within Acturis.
  • Developing relationship, interaction and liaising with insures
  • To ensure diary checks are maintained.
  • Updating records with any changes to client demands, needs, cover requirements, Fact Finds and underwriting information.
  • Develop and take ownership of e-trade products with our key insurers

New Business

  • Supporting brokers with creating presentations within Acturis as required (unless we are pre-appointed).
  • Obtaining quotations for less complex risks as identified by the team either open market or e-trade.

Renewal Business

  • Supporting brokers with creating broking presentations within Acturis.
  • Obtaining quotations for less complex risks as identified by the team either open market or e-trade.

Compliance/IT

  • Comply with the company’s process, procedures, and broking strategy
  • Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulatory and market standards
  • Ensure that you are working in an orderly fashion.
  • Ensure that you update I T systems promptly to facilitate good working practices throughout the company.

Contribute to the good relationships between the different departments within the company

Person Specification

Details the minimum requirement for skills, knowledge, and experience on commencement of this role. It is expected that the person will meet a competent level within 6 months of joining the company.

  • Entry level of A level education or equivalent (including apprenticeship scheme)
  • Commitment to working towards Cert CII
  • IT savvy, fully Competent in Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • A Can-do attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Drive to achieve results, solve problems and deliver service and ability to work to deadlines
