The Team

NBJ London Markets is a long established and highly respected Lloyds Broker, based in the City of London, with an existing team of 10.
The team acts as a resource to the Verlingue UK business as well as other selected Broker partners, placing UK general commercial insurance business within the Lloyds and London Insurance Market.
NBJ is a key part of the Verlingue business structure, and the consistency and quality of our delivery directly impacts the business we receive in the future.
We are a growing part of a large independent family-owned insurance business and feel this is an excellent opportunity for someone who can demonstrate the required skills and success in their role.

The Role

To provide a quality service to Broker partners and Insures in respect of administration, renewal and new business insurance arrangements. This will involve supporting the Administration, Finance, and Broking teams as required.

Key Responsibilities

General responsibilities
  • Maintaining relationships, interacting, and liaising with Insurer/Broker partners on a day-to-day basis.
  • Processing mid-term adjustments and administration.
  • Ensuring all communications, documents, invoices are issued in a compliant way in line with company Policies & Procedures and full utilisation of IT systems.
  • Working closely with the Finance team to ensure payment terms are met by Broker clients.
  • Other duties as required in order to support the team.
New Business
  • Logging new enquiries, fact finding and creating presentations for the Broking team.
  • Producing contract certain quotes and indications for Brokers.
  • Slip/closing creation and prompt despatch of Policy wordings etc to Broker, once cover secured.
  • Invoicing.
  • Other duties as required in order to support the team.
Renewal Business
  • Updating records with any changes to client demands, needs, cover requirements, fact finds and underwriting information.
  • Preparing renewal information for Brokers.
  • Producing contract certain quotes and indications for brokers.
  • Slip/closing creation and prompt despatch of Policy wording etc to Broker, once cover secured.
  • Invoicing.
  • Other duties as required in order to support the team.

Person Specification

  • Previous industry experience required, preferably within Broking
  • Commitment to working towards Cert CII (London Market) qualification
  • Able to grasp Insurer policy wordings meaning
  • IT savvy, fully competent in Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • A Can-do attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment
  • Drive to achieve results, solve problems and deliver service and ability to work to deadlines
