Main purpose of job: To provide a quality service to clients in respect of renewal and new business insurance arrangements advising on, arranging, and securing appropriate cover for our clients' demands and needs.

Department Overview: Verlingue have established Client Services teams in Manchester, Redhill, and Staines. The Corporate team is currently made up of 16 other Coporate Client Advisers, split across 3 offices. The volume of business is rising rapidly and career opportunities within Corporate and in the wider Verlingue group are excellenet should individuals demonstrate the required skills and sucess in their role. 


Key Accountabilities


General Responsabilities




  • Maintaining relationship, interaction and liaising with client on day-to-day basis
  • Maintaining relationship, interaction and liaising with insurers on day-to-day basis
  • Processing MTA's and administration
  • Ensuring all communications, documents, invoices are issued in a compliant way in line with company Policies & Procedures and full utilisation of Acturis

New Business 



  • Broking clients under £10k premium (or passing to CBU) and Scheme / Facility business
  • Production of initial draft Broking presentation for Broker (if we are pre-appointed) for clients over £10k premium
  • Invoicing
  • Risk Register production


Renewal Business

  • Updating records with any changes to client demands, needs, cover requirements, Fact Finds and underwriting information.
  • Production of initial draft Broking presentation for Broker
  • Liaising with CD / Broker on broking strategy to be employed
  • Obtaining terms from holding insurers
  • Renewal Report production
  • Invoicing
  • Risk Register production
  • Policy wordings - ensuring correct and suitable for client demands, needs and cover requirements


Person Specification


Essential Desirable


  • Cert CII
  • Dip CII
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes    
  • Considerable experience in the insurance industry preferably with Corporate Client Servicing experience
  • Target book size of £500,000 made up of larger cases
  • Strong working knowledge of the Acturis system
  • Considerable working knowledge of General Commercial Lines business and the Broking market
  • A can-do attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work to deadlines and multitask in order to get required work carried out
